Fall Fest will take place on Friday, October 4th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm behind the school. Wristbands are now on sale at the Meiklejohn PTA store website (https://meiklejohn.memberhub.com/store?limit=21&live=true&category=Events). This year, we are offering both a regular Wristband and a Littles Wristband designed for younger kids who cannot participate in all the event activities. You can preorder wristbands online until Tuesday, October 1st. Preordering lets you skip the lines at the event and save $5.00 per wristband. If you join the PTA at the Pride or Mountain Lion level by October 1st, you will receive 2 free wristbands for this year’s Fall Fest ($50 value – learn more about membership at http://meiklejohnpta.org/join/). Preordered wristbands will be sent home in Thursday folders on Oct 3rd. Wristbands and individual tickets can also be purchased at the event. Activities require between 3 and 8 tickets per turn or a wristband.

Does the PTA need any help? How can I volunteer?
The PTA Fall Fest committee has been working hard to get everything lined up, but we need volunteers to help the day of the event to make it a success. This year, we are looking for volunteers to help run the activities, collect tickets/check wristbands, donate cakes/desserts for the cake walk, and sign up to get Whipped Cream in the face at one of the booths.

What activities and entertainment will be there?
This year’s activities will include a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, photo booth, cake walk, balloon artists, face painting, obstacle courses, inflatable slides, hay ride, carnival games, live DJ and more.
Will my little one have enough to do?
We try to plan something for all ages. There will be a Kiddie Area intended for children in first grade and below that is separated from the main area.
Do I need to buy a wristband or tickets to attend the event?
No, you’re welcome to walk around or get food from the food trucks without a wristband or ticket. Wristbands or tickets are only required to participate in activities (typically kids only).
What is included with a Regular Wristband?
Nearly everything is included ($40+ value). That means your child can go through the inflatable obstacle courses and games as many times as they want, pet friendly farm animals, experience a hay ride, compete at the Cake Walk, play any carnival game, get their face painted, and select a balloon animal. Each wristband also lets you pick one pumpkin from the patch!
What is included with a Littles Wristband?
This year we are introducing a Littles Wristband geared towards younger attendees. The Littles Wristband includes all the activities in the Kiddie Area plus face painting, balloon animals, petting zoo, and a pumpkin from the patch! Littles Wristbands do not include the cake walk, photo booth, and larger inflatable slides and obstacle courses.
Will there be food?
Yes, there will be food trucks with dinner, drink, and dessert options. The food vendors do charge (not included with your wristband/tickets), but most donate a portion of their proceeds back to our school.
Who can attend?
The Fall Festival is Meiklejohn’s annual community event, and is open to anyone. Invite your neighbors, friends, and extended family to join in on the fun.
Is childcare provided?
No. Please keep an eye on your children during the event and choose a meeting spot in case you get separated.
